Back To School Hairstyles 2016

The Best.jpg

About this time last year I made a post on all the cutest and latest back to school hairstyles that turned out really popular. (Click here to read that post) In fact, I’ve gotten a lot of traffic on that post recently. Since so many people seem to be looking for fun and cute hairstyles, I decided to do a similar post for 2016. So if you’ve been looking for easy, on-th-go hairstyles that you can rock this upcoming school year in high school or college, look no further. As a bonus, at the end of this post I’ll include all the tools you need to achieve each look, plus discount codes so that they can fit into your back to school budget.

Style 1: Beach Goddess

There’s nothing like walking into school looking like you’ve spent the summer on the beach. The best way to do that? Beach waves and a fake tan.

Style 2: The Fishtail

Having a bad hair day? Cover it up with a fishtail braid! The cool design makes people think that you spent hours on your hair, when in reality it only takes 5 minutes for this style to last all day. Fishtails are easier to achieve than you’d think. I’ve included a tutorial for it at the end of this post.

Style 3: Braided Ponytail

How adorable would this look be for a Fall day. Because of the laid back, but also pulled back style of this ponytail it would work great for both gym class and college lectures. Plus, it’s the perfect way to style second day hair from style #1, beach waves. A tutorial is linked below in the tools you’ll need section.

Style 4: Messy Pigtail braids

Are you as in love with these braids as I am? I mean, insert heart eyed face emoji here. These braids look so put together, yet they are easy to achieve. A tutorial is linked at the bottom of this post.

Tools You’ll Need To Achieve Each Look:

Tools For Style 1: Beach Goddess

Big beach waves are so popular this year! To achieve this look, use a curling wand. It’s so easy that ANYONE can do it.

Tools For Style 2: The Fishtail

No one likes fly aways and super dry looking hair. Make sure you use a super moisturizing shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in treatment before trying out this look. My recommendation is a keratin treatment or argon treatment.

Read full instructions on  how to achieve this look here. If you’re looking for a really good, affordable hairspray to keep your curls in, I’ve recently fallen in love with the generic version of Kenra; it’s called Generic Value Products Volumizing Spray. I got mine at Sally’s Beauty Supply for $10. That’s a really great price for 10 oz!

Find the full tutorial here. These braids would look best secured with elastic clear rubber bands which can be found at your local drugstore in the hair aisle.

I hop you enjoyed this post! As a hair care fanatic, I’m always looking for the cutest styles and was happy to have stubbled on these.
